yet failing to reflect
not knowing whether
to be linked to intelligence
as minuscule influences
on unreasoning interventions

representing lacks of successes
during batteries of failed ballistic tests
scores tending to hang together
in bursts of primal energy

much heavier than lead
as bilingual Hamlets on sets
market-vetted touch and texture
concerning many as sounds of protests

being ceremonially addressed
during collaterally damaged events
instinctively unsympathetic
by misguided history lessons

prisoners of conscience
dominant melancholies
